Talk to your partner, not your friend
The best person to talk to about the problems in your relationship isn’t your friend, your mom or your coworker or your brother. It’s the person who you are in the relationship with.
Your partner is the who one who needs to know what’s on your mind, what’s bothering you and what you are upset about.
There’s certainly value in getting other peoples’ perspectives, especially when you are trying to prepare yourself for a conversation with your partner, but that’s very different from venting.
The more you involve other people into your relationship issues, the less likely the two of you will be able to resolve those problems on your own.
It’s your relationship, so work within it.
Until next time!
